James Jones

James E. Jones, CPA, CTC, is the founder of Your Tech CPA, LLC, which provides proactive tax strategies and stellar accounting solutions to technology professionals and businesses. As a child, James’ interest in technology, along with his love of the game of baseball, ignited a life-long obsession with numbers. In the days before “a computer in every household,” you could often find James hunched over a keyboard, feverishly entering historical baseball statistics into a spreadsheet, pouring over the data, and discovering new ways to evaluate his favorite players. Today, James channels this same obsession toward proactively helping his clients save tax dollars, a skill not mastered by many of his peers. In fact, as a Certified Tax Coach, James is one of less than 1,000 tax professionals in the United States who is certified and trained to develop proactive tax strategies by the American Institute of Certified Tax Planners. “Whereas many tax professionals only focus on tax compliance and small tax planning services, our advanced tax strategies are proving to be popular among our existing clients and in some cases are resulting in annual tax savings of over $100,000,” says James. Prior to his work in the accounting field, James provided market analysis services to the real-estate industry. James has bachelor degrees in both accounting and literature, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma and Beta Alpha Psi honorary societies. In his free time, James enjoys playing bass guitar and rescuing stray and feral animals.
